leuan swam for the City of Cardiff Swimming club from the age of 8. His potential was spotted early on by ex head coach Dave Haller. He went on to compete for team GB in both the London and Rio Olympics. We spoke with leuan about his swimming career and what swimming has done for him What were yours and your family's reactions when you were chosen for team GB at the age of 18? “When I qualified for the Olympics at the age of 18, it was a dream come true. I had always believed I could get there but I thought 2012 was slightly too soon. My parents were obviously very proud and couldn't wait to share the news. Swimming is a sport that requires lots of commitment from not only myself but from my family so it was a joint achievement.
